Verdict
One of the strongest sauna landscapes we know — less because of marble palaces, more because of crew, tradition, and mountain energy. Textile-free saunarium in dark Polish wood style. Overall around 4.5/5.

Atmosphere and kit
Very modern dark-wood Polish aesthetic. Staff highly professional; Aufguss team includes world-champion level show energy. About eight saunas, roughly 60–100°C, small to very large.
Cold and warm
Three cold stations: indoor plunge, outdoor terrace plunge, and a deep wooden cooling barrel. Warm: gallery jacuzzi plus a sulphur thermal barrel on a huge terrace with Tatra views.

Aufguss culture
| Ritual | Focus | Take |
|---|---|---|
| Show & theme | Music, lights, choreographed towels | Outstanding with mountain backdrop |
| Wenik / Banja | Birch or oak whisking | Intense, authentic |
| Classic aroma | Oils, pure heat | Excellent for purists |
| Steam care | Salt/sugar/coffee peels | Good, less spectacular |
Food and honesty
Sauna bar for light snacks/drinks without dressing; full Polish/highland kitchen in the main therme (including Oscypek). Drinks offering in-sauna can feel limited (2). Cleanliness 5. Family therme + mountain hiking outside. Come for Aufguss craft and Tatra air.
Deeper take: banja facing the Tatras
Chochołów wins through crew and tradition, not marble palaces. Eight saunas up to 100°C, steam, three cold stations including a barrel, gallery jacuzzi, sulphur terrace barrel with mountain views.
Aufguss spans show rituals, wenik/banja birch work, quiet aroma, and steam peels. Eat at the nude-accessible sauna bar or in full Polish/highland restaurants (Oscypek!). In-sauna drinks feel limited. Cleanliness spotless. Pair with family therme time and Tatra hikes.
