Verdict
Fildorado in Filderstadt is not a fairytale palace — and that is the compliment. It is what serious sauna people want after work: a modern, spotless landscape, fair pricing, subscriptions that pay off, and staff who have defended textile-free culture for decades. Overall: 4.5/5 — the after-work therme blueprint.

Atmosphere
Contemporary and cared-for without design theatre. Rest areas offer board games and even a TV — small cues that this place understands switching off.
Dress code — mixed, clearly split
Adventure pool: textiles required. Sauna landscape: strictly textile-free. Some weekdays have a separate women's section. Staff politely but firmly escort swimsuit wanderers out of the nude zone. That discipline is why the place works.
Sauna landscape
A very large set of generously sized cabins. Highlights: fireplace sauna, mine / Bergwerk sauna, panorama sauna, plus enough dry heat variety for a full evening.

Steam, cold, warm
Classic humid steam rooms (~4/5). Enough cold plunges and ice showers indoors and out. Warm pools for weightless pauses between rounds.
Aufguss — reliability is the luxury
Roughly every 30 minutes. From gentle to properly hot.
| Ritual | Focus | Take |
|---|---|---|
| Classic heat Aufguss | Sweat, scent, often no music, ice | Top craft — seats surprisingly available |
| Care Aufguss | Salt or honey rubs | Very good skin variety |
Food and the currywurst hack
Sauna dining is quality-leaning healthy — sometimes too polite after hard heat. The legendary hack: cross into the family pool for currywurst, pizza, or a burger. Bar: solid smoothies and cocktails.

Staff, cleanliness, surroundings
Staff 5/5, cleanliness 5/5. Luxury gym attached. Next door: a serious family adventure pool. Best on weekday evenings; weekends denser but workable. Come for heat and culture, not silent luxury theatre.
Why Fildorado works
Years of visits land on the same point: this place is built for people who want to actually sweat after work, not for wedding photography. Fair prices, worthwhile memberships, and enough landscape that you are not stuck in one cabin.
Staff earn 5/5 by defending textile-free culture. Stray swim shorts are redirected politely but firmly. That discipline keeps the landscape usable.
Kit in depth
Beyond fireplace, mine, and panorama saunas: generous cabins and a women's section on selected days. Steam for humidity contrast. Cold plunges and ice showers indoors and out. Warm pools for weightless pauses. Aufguss about every 30 minutes is the scheduling luxury. Salt/honey care rituals diversify skin routine.
Food reality
Sauna dining leans healthy and slightly elevated — good, but sometimes too polite after hard heat. Hence the cult hack: currywurst, pizza, or burger in the family pool next door. Smoothies and cocktails at the bar. Add the gym and adventure pool complex and you have a full-day campus.
